Aa Saint-Omer Golf Club

The Aa Saint-Omer Golf Club is situated in northern France near the municipalities of Acquin-Westbécourt and Lumbres in the department Pas-de-Calais in the region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais. It sits in the Parc Natural Régional des Caps et Marais d’Opale and allows a wonderful panorama view of the valley of the river Aa. The Aa Saint-Omer Golf Club, which covers an area of 60 hectares, has good transport links to the neighboring coastal towns. From Calais, the club can be reached within half an hour, and in 45 minutes from Dünkirchen. It was founded in 1989 and calls a 27 hole park its own, the design of which was created by 15-time Dutch amateur champion Johan Frederik Dudok van Heel. It consists of the 18 hole parkland course Le Val with par 73 and the 9 hole course Haute Drève with par 31. Le Val is a very hilly and challenging course with a length of 6218 meters. With its fast greens, narrow fairways, solitary trees in the middle of the fairways, doglegs, bunkers, and many water hazards, it is considered a very technical course that even presents a considerable challenge for golf pros. Haute Drève is 2038 meters long and demands a skill level that exceeds that of a normal pitch & putt course. The Aa Saint-Omer Golf Club has served as host for the European Challenge Tour and is home to one of the most famous golf courses in France.
