Afandou Golf Course

The Afandou Golf Course on the island Rhodes lies on the eastern coast of the island, approximately halfway between the tourist centers of the cities of Rhodes and Lindos. Thanks to the well-developed highway 95, the golf course between Faliraki and Kolympia can easily and effortlessly be reached from all parts of the island. The 18-hole golf course (par 73) was already set up in the year 1973 based on a design by the English star golf architect Donald Harradine. The hilly terrain of the Afandou Golf Course is pervaded by numerous rows of trees that soften the wind blowing in from the ocean. Between these, different types of grass suited to the Mediterranean climate were sown to ensure that the course could boast a very green appearance and an ideal surface all year round. The course offers a demanding and varied game experience for all handicap levels, but definitely requires a tactical game from every player. On the Afandou Golf course, which is open to guests year-round, grand views of the ocean and the hills of the island of Crete ensure a Mediterranean golf experience with memorable tees. Its location directly next to the beach also makes this golf course an ideal day trip for a combination of golf and family time at the beach. Rental clubs and electronic carts can be rented from the clubhouse at any time. A driving range is also available to practice teeing off.
