The Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club is located in the oasis city of Al Ain in the shade of the beautiful Jebel Mountains not far from the border to Oman. Al Ain is the second largest city of the United Arab Emirates and is also called the “Garden City of the Arabian Gulf”. In 2007, the golf course initiated by Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan was built here inside the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club. The 9-hole-course ran within a race course and was fundamentally renovated and expanded in 2016. The newly opened 18-hole-course with par 70 of the Al Ain Equestrian Golf Club is now 6,243 m long. The layout originates from Thomson Perrett & Lobb. What is special: With the 620-meter-long 10th hole, the championship course has the longest hole in the UAE. Water hazards athletically interfere at no less than 11 holes. In addition, there are partially very deep, well-placed sand bunkers. Nine hoes as well as the short course, the Academy Course, have floodlights and can also be played after sunset, when it gets a little colder outside. Among other things, the very well-equipped golf shop and the Palm-Greens-Restaurant are located inside the exclusive golf clubhouse of the Al Ain Equestrian Golf Club. The course is suitable for experienced golfers as well as beginners. Golfers, who come from Dubai, should plan on one or two overnight stays at the connected hotel resort.
