Alamo Country Club

The golf course is situated nearly ten kilometers away from Celaya, the third largest city of the Mexican state of Guanajuato. Here, away from the hustle and bustle, one can spend the day on an excellent golf course or find peace and relaxation in the adjoining hotel. The 18-hole course with par-72 was designed by the renowned US-American golf course architect Ron Fream and was opened in 1993. The course is athletically challenging. The courses extend across a flat terrain with impeccably maintained greens and bunkers. Here, players of all handicap classes will find the best conditions, regardless of whether they are beginners or advanced players. The beautiful grounds are given structure by water hazards and bunkers. Technique, strategy and concentration are required for this golf course. Between plays, one is rewarded with wonderful visual axes onto beautiful plantings, groves, lakes and an aqueduct. The Alamo Country Club simply has everything needed to make a golf lover’s heart beat faster. There is even a spacious training area with a putting green, pitching green and chipping green for beginners or players that would like to train more. The on-site pro-shop is also very well equipped. After the round or in the evenings one often meets with friends in the club restaurant to enjoy a delicious meal and a sundowner while reviewing the day of golfing and taking in the picturesquely situated golf course.
