Álamos Golf Course

The Álamos Golf Course is part of the Morgado do Reguengo Golf Resort, located in the middle of the idyllic hill landscape between the town of Portimão and the spa town of Monchique. It belongs to the Nau Group that also owns the Morgado and Salgados Golf Course in the region, in addition to the Álamos Golf Course. It is only 30 minutes from Lagos and 45 minutes from the Faro Airport to Álamos Golf Course. It is an 18-hole course with par 71 and was designed by the golf course architect Russell Talley who is active in European Golf Design. The e Álamos Golf Course was opened in 2006 and is situated in the north of the Morgado do Reguengo Golf Resort. With its 5,683 meters, it is significantly shorter than the Morgado Golf Course, has fewer bunkers, but may tactically planted trees, and an idyllic view of the surrounding vineyards. For beginning golfers, as well as for experienced golfers, the course is an athletic challenge that require a precise game. Golfers can train for the course on both the driving ranges of the resort, as well as on its two putting and chipping greens. Carts and golf clubs can be rented, should golfers not find what they are looking for at the on-site Pro Shop.
