Balbirnie Park Golf Club

The golf club was reopened in 1983 and is located in the historic kingdom of Fife near Glenrothes. However, the origins of the Balbirnie Park Golf Club go back to 1905. The 5,760-meter long course with par 71 is well-suited for golfers of all experience levels. The course is wonderfully integrated in the large, wavy park landscape. The fairways are mostly bordered by trees and the perfectly-maintained greens are protected by strategically-placed bunkers. The beautiful club house with its restaurant are located in a majestic location with a view of fairways 10 and 18. For practicing, Balbirnie Park Golf Club also offers a driving range with practice greens. It is possible to rent a complete set of golfing equipment in the very well-sorted Pro Shop. There is also a golf school on-site. Balbirnie House – an exclusive and acclaimed hotel – is located directly on the grounds of Balbirnie Park Golf Club. It was built in a Georgian-style castle from the 18th century and lies in the same breath-taking park landscape as the golf course. The park constitutes a habitat for numerous animals and plants, such as the rare rhododendron. Golfers should plan adequate time in the area: The historic cities of Edinburgh, Perth, or Dundee are only around 40 minutes away by car. St. Andrews is even closer and is a true Mecca for golf enthusiasts.
