The golf course at Beaufort is located directly at the foot of the highest mountain in Ireland, the 1,041-meter high Carrauntoohil. The majestic 18-hole parkland course leads through a picturesque landscape with centuries-old trees and is surrounded by soft hills and two lakes. Peacocks move gracefully on the grounds and greet guests. The quite flat course at the Beaufort Golf Club is overlooked by ruins from the 15th century, giving the course a unique historic atmosphere. The well-kept golf course is 6,405 meters long and interesting for players of all handicaps. Visitors can escape from the hectic and stress of everyday life and enjoy the dreamy landscape of Ireland, with a distinct “Highlander” feeling. However, the athletic aspect is not neglected here. The Beaufort Golf Club also has a professional golf instructor and offers very good training opportunities at the driving range or practice greens. Even a Pro Shop is on-site that can rent complete sets of equipment if needed. Guests are always welcome in the friendly club. The golf course is not far from Killarney and Killorglin and only 25 kilometers from the airport in Kerry.
