Belle View Nagao Golf Club

The Belle View Nagao Golf Club can be found near the city of Gotemba in the Chubu region on the Japanese island of Honshu. It stretches across the crest of a hill between the small town of Hakone and the Fujiyama volcano, allowing golfers to experience a wonderful view of Japan’s holy mountain and the Pacific Ocean. From Gotemba, the Belle View Nagao Golf Club can be reached in half an hour via Route 394, and the journey from Tokyo takes less than 90 minutes. It was founded in 1968 and has an 18-hole parkland/mountain course with par 71, the design of which was created by Kazuo Terasawa. The hilly course has a length of merely 5,128 meters and is considered a challenging mountain course with narrow fairways and fast, difficult greens which are partly elevated. It displays considerable differences in elevation, forming the main obstacles at Belle View Nagao Golf Club’s course in addition to a few doglegs, as water hazards and bunkers barely exist on the course. Nonetheless, both beginners and experienced golfers can master the athletically and technically challenging course. At the club’s practice area, golfers can practice long hits on a 274-meter-long driving range with 12 tees, as well as the short game on a putting green.
