The BlackSeaRama golf course in Bulgaria lives up to its name, boasting a spectacular view of the water and sea birds from the cliffs above the coast of the Black Sea. The still young course BlackSeaRama Golf&Villas was designed by the famous golf architect Gary Player and was honored as “Best new golf course of the year 2009” by a golf magazine. The golf course lies just a few kilometers to the northeast of the famous vacation region “Golden Sands” and can be reached in about 50 minutes by car from the regional center of Varna. The 18-hole course (par 72) covers a total length of 6,648 meters and offers a challenging and varied game of golf for golfers of different playing levels. The ocean wind plays an important role on many of the fairways here, which is why most of the greens are laid out more spaciously than on other courses. Many interesting doglegs and strategically positioned sand bunkers make the BlackSeaRama golf course technically challenging, but it also offers a visual pleasure due to the diverse water surfaces and the little lakes, which golfers must play over on holes 5, 6 and 15. Regular competitions take place throughout the year, but exciting golf weekends with friends can also be organized with the trainings of the local golf academy. In the BlackSeaRama clubhouse with its Tuscan appearance, one can find not only the Pro Shop and the course’s restaurant, but also a modern wellness area for the golfers staying on the ground’s vacation villas.
