Golfclub Büsum-Dithmarschen e.V.

Golfclub Büsum Dithmarschen e.V. is in the village of Warwerort on the North Sea coast. It is right by the North Sea dike on the 500-hectar nature reserve, Wöhrdener Loch, only 500 meters from Warwerort beach. Its terrain extends across the former Wadden Sea landscape and is partially below sea level. Located west of Büsum, the Golfclub Büsum Dithmarschen e.V. is only 10 minutes from the A23. It is also easy to reach via the A5 and B203 from Dithmarschen. Since the golf club is only a six-minute drive from Heide-Büsum Airport, it is worth travelling there by plane. The golf course is located where the tides used to flow 40 years ago. The 18-hole links/moorland-type course with a par of 72 is flat and characterized by tidal creeks and natural water obstacles marking the fairways. It is suitable for beginners as well as more experienced golfers; nevertheless, it demands precision and skill, in particular because play is often affected by the sea breeze. One of the special features at Golfclub Büsum Dithmarschen e.V. are the beach chair-shaped seats for the golf players waiting by the teeing points. The training area consists of a driving range with 25 tee-off points, eight of which are sheltered, as well as pitching, putting and chipping greens and practice bunkers. Clubs, electric carts and trolleys are available for hire.
