Caesarea Golf Club

The Caesarea Golf Club was the first golf course in Israel, and is a place where locals come to mingle. The facilities are located close to the ancient town of Caesarea, between Tel Aviv and Haifa. The Caesarea Golf Club was founded in 1961 by the Rothschilds, and it is also suited for players of higher handicap classes. The course, with its landscape of dunes, features plenty of bunkers but only one water hazard; it has been renovated various times since its opening. The current course – with a design by renowned golf course architect Pete Dye – was inaugurated in 2009, A short course was added to the facilities, which serves as a practice course for golf students. The facilities include a pitching, putting, and chipping green, practice bunker, and a golf academy, which is also suited for children. In addition, guests can use the well-equipped pro shop and restaurant. The driving range at the Caesarea Golf Club has 40 tees, 15 of which are roofed. The Caesarea Golf Club hosts the Maccabiah Games, an international Jewish sporting event that takes place every four years.
