Cambridge Golf Club

The Cambridge Golf Club is the oldest golf club in the Waikato region on New Zealand’s North Island. The club was founded in 1900 and has been located here since 1924. Its facilities are located at the gates of Cambridge close to Highway 1. Cambridge itself is located around 25 kilometers to the southeast of Hamilton, and is also known as the “City of Trees”. The par-72 course measures 5,918 meters and is classified as an attractive parkland course, which is located on quite undulating terrain. The course is open year-round and for golfers of all handicap classes; it stretches out over an area with very exciting landscapes, directly by the Waikato River. The fairways are lined with mighty trees. Numerous very handsomely designed bunkers and water hazards are skillfully located all over the course. Guests are always welcome at the Cambridge Golf Club . It features a driving range with practice greens as well as a pro shop and a bistro in the clubhouse. The Cambridge Golf Club has a relaxed and informal ambience. Not far away from Cambridge lies Lake Karapiro. Here, you can enjoy further recreational activities such as water skiing, canoeing, and jetskiing. The hot springs in Okoroire are not to be missed.
