Chickasaw Point Golf Course

The Chickasaw Point Golf Course is located in the village of Westminster, found in Oconee County in the US state of South Carolina. It lies amidst the Chickasaw Point residential area at Lake Hartwell, at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in South Carolina’s Upcountry. From Westminster’s center, you can arrive at Chickasaw Point Golf Course within a quarter of an hour. From the next larger city, Anderson, you would need a half an hour via the SC-24 W and the Interstate 85 S. In 1979, this golf course was opened as an 18-hole course with par 72 and developed by Parker Gibson. Following a renovation in 2006, the 5,597-meter-long course now has fairways with old tree stocks, multiple height differences with canyons needing to the overplayed, a few doglegs and bunkers, as well as water hazards at holes 1, 8, 9, 11, 15 and 17. At five of these holes, golfers must tee over a brook, large lake or pond to reach the green lying on the other side. On the fairway, the golfers will discover five different tee boxes for various playing strengths.
