Circolo Golf Venezia

The club was founded in 1928. According to legend, Henry Ford was involved in the club’s foundation when he came to Venice and demanded to play golf. The year-round open 18 hole course of Circolo Golf Venezia at par 72 counts among the most challenging courses in Italy. It is located near the harbour’s opening in the small town of Malamocco. The approach from the lagoon is a fantastic experience in itself. The fairways are on sabulous underground. The course is interesting and varied. Pines, poplars and willows offer shade and together with numerous ponds, trenches and bunkers, form natural hazards. The parkland-type links course features hilly terrain. The club itself is very committed to athletically challenging golf. It has several teams and acts as venue for large tournaments. Huge international champions such as Arnold Palmer, Severino Ballesteros, Johnny Miller, Edoardo and Francesco Molinari and Matteo Manassero have played here. The driving range has twenty tees, six of which are covered. The practice area at Circolo Golf Venezia also includes putting greens and practice bunkers. Equipment can be rented or purchased in the local Pro Shop. Before embarking on the extraordinary journey back to Venice, guests can relax in the restaurant in the beautiful clubhouse.
