The best golf course of New Zealand, Australia, and Oceania – winner of the World Golf Awards 2015 and 2016. The Clearwater Golf Club is an excellent golf course that regularly welcomes golfing greats such as Lydia Ko, Jason Dufner, Bubba Watson, Jason Day, and Jimmy Walker and hosts large international tournaments. The 18 hole, par-72 championship course was designed by John Darby in collaboration with Sir Bob Charles. Gentlemen can tee off from five different tee positions on the flat course, ladies from three. The course is in perfect condition year-round. The meticulously tended fairways and greens lie nestled between natural sweet-water lakes. Additionally, the facilities are characterized by bunkers and streams. Guests are always welcome here. The area also boasts a holiday resort with exclusive holiday homes and a diverse range of recreational offerings. The training area is, naturally, also of stellar quality, as are the pro shop and golf academy with professional teachers. Hole 9 and 15 are the feature holes of the Clearwater Golf Club. They require both skill and strategy with their strategically places water hazards and the influence of the wind. The culinary offerings of the Clearwater Golf Club are excellent, with a restaurant and bar. The golf course is an absolutely “must-play” for every golfer on holidays on the South Island. The facilities are just a few minutes from Christchurch.
