Coral Golf Resort

Only 32 kilometers to the southeast of the Mexican capital lies the popular Coral Golf Resort. The golf course belongs to an exclusive hotel complex, which is further equipped with a spa facility, a wellness facility and various other sports facilities. The 18-hole course with par-72 is perfectly incorporated into the natural surroundings of the high valley. The excellently maintained lanes spread out along the smooth slopes of the Cerro de Montezuma – a fascinating natural environment with volcanoes and woods at an altitude of 2,260 meters. The course was opened in 1973 and is known for its large greens and picturesque views onto the nearby volcanoes. The golf course is athletically challenging but suited for golfers of all handicaps. Technique and concentration are demanded. The numerous groves, doglegs, bunkers and seven artificial lakes pose quite a few challenges. A highlight is the historic-looking hotel with a spa, a gym and an indoor pool. The driving range at the Coral Golf Resort offers putting, pitching and chipping greens as well as practice bunkers. If desired, one may also improve one’s handicap with a professional golf instructor. There are snack bars for in-between meals, and a restaurant with a lovely terrace, where our guests tend to meet after a day of golfing. There, one can enjoy the fantastic views of the place and the volcanoes. Absolute must-sees are the nearby Aztec ruins of Acozac.
