Cotton Fields Golf Club

The Cotton Fields Golf Club is located in the city of McDonough, which lies in Henry County in the US state of Georgia. It stretches across a 37.5 hectare area of former cotton fields and winds through hilly terrain. Seven minutes away from McDonough’s city center, the Cotton Fields Golf Club can be reached in 45 minutes from Atlanta via the Interstate 675 S. In 1993, it opened an 18-hole parkland course with par 72, designed by the former PGA player Jerry Schwendinger. The 5,944 meter long course presents open, broad fairways bordered by trees, large greens, bunkers, doglegs and many water hazards in the form of ponds. The ponds can be found at 11 of the 18 holes and golfers must play across these at holes 2, 3, 4, 11, 14 and 15. The fairways provide three different tees, meaning that golfers of all handicaps can find a suitable spot to tee off. Despite its athletic challenges, the course at the Cotton Fields Golf Club can be mastered by beginners as well as experienced golfers. In its practice area, it offers a driving range and a putting green for an efficient golf practice. The Pro Shop at the Cotton Fields Golf Club provides golfers with golf equipment, clothing and items for a relaxed round on the course.
