Doha Golf Club

This gorgeous course reflects the natural splendor of Qatar perfectly, fascinating golfers with its diverse layout. The 18-hole championship course with par 72 was designed by Peter Harradine, offering pros and occasional players alike a great golfing experience. The 9-hole academy course – with floodlights – perfectly complements the other facilities; it’s certainly worth mentioning by and of itself. The club opened its doors in 1997 and has regularly hosted large championships. The Doha Golf Club hosts the European and Asian PGA Tour Qatar Masters. The 6,728 meters-long course is perfectly suited for players of all handicaps, with a hilly profile and eight gorgeously designed artificial lakes. The do not only offer a golfing challenge, but they’re also real eyecatchers. This can also be said of the countless bunker facilities and more than 60 giant cactuses, which were specially imported from Arizona. Together with the impressive limestone formations, they represent a desert landscape, in striking contrast with the lush-green fairways and greens as well as thousands of trees and shrubs. The entire Doha Golf Club is of extraordinary class: manicured and exclusive, whether driving range, pro shop, or golf academy. The clubhouse, in traditional Arab style, is located on an elevated plot. The exquisite restaurant invites guests to linger and dine. The pro shop is stocked with state-of-the-art golfing equipment, which can be purchased or rented. Guests are always welcome at the Doha Golf Club.
