Duns Golf Club

The Duns Golf Club is situated between Berwick-upon-Tween and Houndslow near the town of Duns, in the vicinity of Duns Castle and Wedderburn Castle. Arriving by car via the A1 or the A68 from Edinburgh takes around an hour. This golf course is a so-called five-star Scottish Golf Course and has developed itself into a highly-esteemed golf course for both guests and visitors since the Victorian era. The Duns Golf Club was founded in 1894 to the east of Duns as a 9-hole golf course. At its current location, a 9-hole course was built in 1921 that was expanded to its current layout in 1997 with 18 holes (par 70). The relatively open grassland at Duns Golf Club poses a challenge with its winding waterways, such as the Wellrig Burn Even experienced golfers should expect a challenge at hole 18 in order to get the ball onto the green. Trolleys and buggies are available to rent at Duns Golf Club. Golfers can also take advantage of the training area which include a putting green. The course often hosts regional golf tournaments and the club house offers guests a highly-esteemed food selection.
