East Bay Golf Club

The East Bay Golf Club is located in the city of Largo, Pinellas County, Florida. It is situated on the edge of an idyllic residential area, not far from Clearwater’s beaches and Indian Rocks on Florida’s west coast. From downtown Largos, the East Bay Golf Club can be reached within six minutes; from Tampa via I 275 S in around 40 minutes. In 1961, the club opened its own 18-hole course in a traditional Nizza layout with par 71, designed by the renowned golf course architect William F. Mitchell. The 5,898-meter long course has narrow fairways and wavy, elevated greens surrounded by bunkers. At 14 of 18 holes, players will find water hazards at the East Bay Golf Club. Water hazards in the form of ponds, lakes, and streams are fed by the Long Bayou, located outside of the golf course. Despite its frequent presence on the course, the water is only dangerous to even inexperienced golfers at hole 11. Aside from the championship course, the grounds also offer the 18 hole East Bay Executive Course with par 54, which has a length of 1,908 meters and short, straight fairways. It also provides numerous bunkers and large water hazards. Since the Executive Course is illuminated at night, golfers can even practice their short game here in the dark.
