El Kantaoui Golf Club – Panorama Course

El Kantaoui Golf Club is situated in the Tunisian port city of Port El Kantaoui by the Gulf of Hammamet. It lies on 130-hectare grounds, very close to the yacht harbor of Port El Kantaoui and leads up to a picturesque hilly landscape in the hinterland. From the city center of Port El Kantaoui, El Kantaoui Golf Club can be reached in five minutes, and the journey from the larger city of Sousse takes about 15 minutes via the P 1. It is comprised of two 18-hole courses designed by golf course architect Ronald Fream from GolfPlan. In 1979, the sea course with par 73 and a length of 6,273 meters was opened. The flat course begins by the sea and winds upwards along the hills. In the 1990’s, the second course at El Kantaoui Golf Club was added, the panorama course with par 72 and a length of 6,045 meters. It is situated between the hills and permits a beautiful panorama view of the city. Its layout is shaped by narrow fairways lined by palm trees, century-old olive and pomegranate trees, elevated tees, and numerous water hazards. The El Kantaoui Golf Club is one of Tunisia’s best courses and ranks 67th of Africa’s 447 golf courses. In 1982, it hosted the short-lived Tunisian Senior Open.
