Elverum Golfklubb

The Elverum Golfklubb is situated in Elverum, a small city in Hedmark County, northeast of Oslo. It lies near the Starmoen airfield in the eastern Norwegian Østerdal, and is just 15 minutes away from the center of Elverum. From the closest larger cities it takes over an hour to get to Elverum Golfklubb. From Lillehammer it is a 75-minute drive on Ry 25 and the E6, and from Oslo a 100-minute drive, also on the E6. Founded in 1993, the club is the successor of the bankrupted Hedmark Golfklubb, and after taking over the site it opened an 18-hole course of the parkland/woodland type, with par 72. The 6,315-meter long forest course extends over sandy soil, which allows the course to be playable even after rainfall. The course is characterized by large sand bunkers and narrow fairways, which demand tactical and precise play from the golfers. For training, the Elverum Golfklubb offers a driving range and a putting green. Golfers can rent trolleys or purchase small golf articles in the club’s pro shop. The heavily wooded course was voted among the ten best golf courses in Norway in 2013.
