Emirates Golf Club -Faldo Course

The Emirates Golf Club in Dubai was opened in 1988. The traditional club is one of the top golf courses worldwide and is the host of the Dubai Desert Classic. It has two excellent 18-hole-courses: the Majlis and the Faldo course. The latter is the only 18-hole-course in the Emirates with floodlights for the entire course. Here, you can also play golf after sunset. The design of the Majlis championship course originates from Karl Litten. The course is very athletically ambitious. The flawless greens are elevated. Exotic plants, large lakes, and bunkers shape the championship course. The courses are flat and crimped. The elevated tee of hole 8, from which you can enjoy a fantastic view of the skyline of Dubai, is a highlight. The second course at the Emirates Golf Club was renovated by Nick Faldo in 2006 and named after the English star golfer. The par-72-course meanders through a natural wadi, brings bunkers and rocky terrain into play and offers a unique golf experience in a canyon-like desert style. The Emirates Golf Club is a great destination for golfers. A registered handicap is required. The clubhouse itself is already unique. The seven white pavilions resemble a Bedouin tented village. The restaurant “M’s” treats its guests with international cuisine. People also like to meet at the “Spike Bar” or at the “Roseleaf Café”. The club can be reached by metro (stop “Nakheel”).
