Enköpings Golfklubb

The Enköpings Golfklubb is situated in Enköping, a Swedish city on Lake Mälaren in the province of Uppland. It has a relatively central location and is just 9 minutes away from the center of Enköping. Due to its favorable location, it possesses good traffic connections to the larger cities in its surroundings. Over the E18, the Enköpings Golfklubb is comfortably reachable from Västerås in just under 30 minutes, and from the capital, Stockholm, in 50 minutes. From Uppsala it is a 40-minute drive on Route 55 to the club. The club was founded in 1970, and in 1974 it opened an 18-hole course of the parkland type, with par 71. With its narrow, tree-lined fairways, numerous doglegs, bunkers, and many water hazards, it is a classic park course that will challenge the sporting and tactical abilities of beginners and experienced golfers alike. The first nine holes run narrowly through birch avenues. In contrast, the next nine holes are easier to master, as the fairways broaden. The course in the Enköpings Golfklubb is one of the oldest golf courses in Uppland, and it is well known for its Mälaren Classic tournament. To prepare for the game, or just for general practice, golfers can take advantage of the cub’s driving range with twelve tees, a putting and chipping green and practice bunkers.
