Estoril Golf Course

The Estoril Golf Course is three minutes from the center of the mundane seaside resort of Estoril on the Costa do Estoril. Due to its elevate location, it offers a majestic view of the Atlantic, the city, and the famous beach of Estoril. In only 25 minutes, Estoril Golf Course can be reached from Lisbon via the A5 that is well-known due to its location near Estoril International. It is counted among the oldest and most prominent golf courses in Portugal and was redesigned in 1936 by the golf course architect, Mackenzie Ross. He designed the course as an 81-hole championship course, type parkland with par 69. The uneven terrain comprises many pine and eucalyptus trees, veiled in mimosa bushes. The narrow fairways, wavy greens, and several tricky inclined areas make the course demanding to golfers. A specialty at Estoril Golf Course is hole 16 which supports the uniqueness of the course. Here, golfers are picked up in buggies and chauffeured over the highway to hole 17. The Estoril Golf Course is the only golf club in Portugal that offers its visitors a caddie service and thereby ties in seamlessly to the cherished times of golfing. The caddies have extensive PGA experience and will gladly provide competent tips regarding the more ambitious fairways at the club.
