Golfclub Fenti Golf is situated in the Sudanese capital of Khartoum. It lies on a long, flat area of 36 hectares in a large oasis with 4,000 trees, shrubs, and flower beds in the midst of the desert landscape south of Khartoum. From Khartoum’s city center, Golfclub Fenti Golf can easily be reached in 20 minutes via Madani Street. It opened a 9-hole parkland course with par 36 in 2010, designed by the renowned golf course architect Peter Harradine. The course, measuring 2,930 meters, displays long, tree-lined fairways that wind through five interconnected streams. Undulating greens, expanded bunker areas, doglegs, and the dominant water hazards at Golfclub Fenti Golf’s course demand tactical play and technical know-how from golfers of all handicaps. Water characterizes the layout at 6 of the 9 holes. At holes 4 to 9, golfers must master a mighty shot across water. Holes 6 and 7 even expect golfers to overcome water twice to reach a peninsula-like green. The championship course at Golfclub Fenti Golf contains floodlights, allowing golfers to play in the dark. Furthermore, the club offers a double driving range, a short game area, practice bunkers, as well as a putting, chipping, and pitching green in its practice area.
