Garden Hill Hotel e Golfe

The golf club Garden Hill Hotel e Golfe is in not far from the Brazilian baroque town of São João del-Rei in the state of Minas Gerais. It is in a small hotel complex at the bottom of the Serra do Lenheiro in the southeast of Brazil. From São João del-Rei one can reach the golf club Garden Hill Hotel e Golfe via the BR-383 in twelve minutes. From Belo Horizonte, the capital of the state of Minas Gerais, one needs 160 minutes to reach it. The golf club Garden Hill Hotel e Golfe was founded in 2005 and has a 9-hole-course with par 66, which can also be played as an 18-hole-course due to two different teeing possibilities on the fairways. The course has a length of 4,458 meters and was designed by Mario Gonzales. Its layout is characterized by large greens that are hermetically protected by up to four bunkers and some very long par-5-fairways. There are some water hazards in the form of two lakes, two streams and a pond on the course, that force the golfer to a tee-off over water at holes 2 and 4 to 6 or 11 and 13 to 15. At hole 7, a hit through a narrow forest aisle awaits golfers of all playing levels. They can practice for this on a 137-meter-long driving range with six tees, as well as a chipping and putting green.
