The Golf Club Bad Herrenalb-Bernbach e.V. is situated in the Württemberg spa Bad Herrenalb in the Northern Black Forest. Embedded in the narrow Bernbach valley in the north of Bad Herrenalb, it is easily accessible from Karlsruhe and Baden-Baden via the L564. The Golf Club Bad Herrenalb-Bernbach e.V. was founded in 1968 and covers an area of over 100 hectares. The fairways of the club’s own golf course take up 40 hectares of the area, which partly run up the mountains. The very hilly 9 hole course with par 70 was created by the well-known golf course architect Dr. Bernhard von Limburger in a very varied design. The course is characterized by water hazards, old trees, rhododendrons and meadows. It is athletically and technically challenging, requiring precision and focus from golfers. For practice purposes, the Golf Club Bad Herrenalb-Bernbach e.V. offers a practice area with a driving range consisting of nine separate tees and a swing trainer to improve one’s swings. A putting and chipping area is provided as well. The club also rents golf clubs, electric trolleys and carts, and trolleys. Caddies can be provided upon request. Golf beginners can learn all necessities about golf in trial classes and can take lessons to obtain a golf course license. Suitable clothing and the right equipment can be purchased at the club’s Pro Shop, which maintains a great cooperation with the Modehaus Nagel in Karlsruhe.
