Golf Klub Čertovo Břemeno

The Golf Klub Čertovo Břemeno is in the city of Jistebnice in the region of South Bohemia. It is located 640 meters above sea level in the middle of Jistebnická Park in a picturesque forest and hill landscape, offering dreamy views by good weather. The famous rock formation “the Devil’s Burden” is located on the club’s grounds. Not at all devilish is the club’s connection to local infrastructure, only seven minutes from Jistebnice via Route 122, and an hour from Prague via Route 3. The Golf Klub Čertovo Břemeno was founded in 2001 and, at first, had only a 9-hole course designed by the famous Czech golf course architect, Jiří Velden. In 2009, the course was expanded to an 18-hole championship course, type parkland with par 70. The 5,305-meter long course traverses hilly terrain and boasts differences in altitude of up to 31 meters. The sometimes very long fairways are dominated by a large number of water hazards. Two streams cut through the course. At holes 11, 14, and 18, golfers must play over ponds. The course is technically challenging and varied, allowing experienced golfers to test their limits. Noteworthy is also the club house at the Golf Klub Čertovo Břemeno that was designed by the Czech star architect Stanislav Fiala and that has won several awards.
