Golf Club des Iles Borromées

The grounds of Golf Club des Iles Borromées, which was founded in 1987, are wonderfully located in the middle of the Stresa hills near Lake Maggiore. The town Iles Borromées is located on the mountainous lake side at an elevation of about 600 metres. The 18 hole course extends over an area of over 72 hectares. The terrain is very hilly. A round of golf demands a good physical condition from players. Water hazards and strategically placed bunkers add interest for players of all handicap levels and requires precision as well as technical skill. On every hole, players are rewarded with gorgeous views of the beautiful landscape with the Lake Maggiore and Alps in the background. Since hole 9 and 10 are relatively far apart, there is a a shuttle is available as a special service. Golf Club des Iles Borromées has a spacious practice area with driving range and putting as well as chipping greens. There is a golf school and a Pro Shop. Those interested can rent a complete set of equipment on site. After the game, players meet at the club’s restaurant, which is known for its delicious cuisine. Golf Club des Iles Borromées is open year-round and is very popular. It is conveniently situated and is only about 80 kilometres from Milan.
