Golf Club Grabštejn

The Golf Club Grabštejn is located in the Northern Bohemian town of Chotyně (German: Bad Ketten), near the city of Chrastava (Kratzau) in the Liberec region. It is located 325 meter above sea level and is surrounded by meadows and fields below Grafenstein Castle (Czech: Grabštejn) from the mid-13th century. From there, visitors have a majestic view of the castle, the Neisse Valley, the Lausitz Mountains, and Jeschken Ridge. Due to its good connection to local infrastructure, the Golf Club Grabštejn can be reached within 3 to 19 minutes from the towns of Chotyně and Chrastava ud Liberec. From Prague, the golf club can be reached via the D10/E55 in 90 minutes. The club was founded in 1995, but it did not open its 9-hole course, type meadowland with par 72, until 2004. Golfers encounter large, fast greens, sand bunkers, and doglegs on the hilly course. The terrain leads uphill and downhill over hills and through valleys and forests. Some holes allow golfers to play into the valley. The course is athletically and technically challenging for both beginning and experienced golfers, but can still be mastered. In 2008, the Golf Club Grabštejn opened a 9-hole pitch and putt course for practicing one’s short game. Additional practice possibilities are offered at the club’s own driving range. Golf clubs and electric trolleys can be rented on-site.
