Golf Club Imperial Balaton

The generously set up Golf Club Imperial Balaton lies slightly to the east of the city of Keszthely, on the western north bank of the Balaton. Due to the highway 71, which runs along the northern shore, the golf club can be reached quickly from all regions around the vacation lake Balaton. The links course of the Golf Club Imperial Balaton was opened in 2009 and currently features nine holes, but an expansion to 18 holes is planned. Locals and guests can enjoy the casual ambiance of this golf course. Cell phones and dogs on a leash are allowed on the course. Since the terrain lies embedded into a slightly sloping landscape between green hills and the northern shore of the Balaton, wonderful views of the lake open up on many fairways. Already on the way to the first hole, a dogleg to the right must be mastered, while the green is protected by several sand bunkers. Cleverly positioned sand bunkers make the game very demanding and exciting, for example on the seventh hole. The Golf Club Imperial Balaton’s golf academy, which is run by a PGA pro, offers tailor-made lessons in German, English and Hungarian. For coaching or an individual training, a driving range, practice bunkers as well as pitching, putting and chipping greens are available at the Golf Club Imperial Balaton. After a round of golf, a visit to the golf course can be concluded with a refreshment at the clubhouse or by sunbathing at the private beach.
