Golf Club Punta Ala

The Golf Club Punta Ala in southern Tuscany is known as one of the oldest and most difficult golf courses of Italy. It was opened in 1964. Long and contorted courses characterize the 18 hole course that is a challenge – a real challenge – for every player, also for professionals. The individual golf courses were placed into narrow forest isles. The clubhouse is located on the highest point of the golf course. From there, you have a wonderful view of the surroundings that not only golfers appreciate. Large differences in altitude are characteristic for the golf course that is located directly by the Sea. That way the individual golf courses lead down the hill and later on back up. For this reason, the players at the Golf Club Punta Ala either have to play up- or downhill and oftentimes from a slope at the same time. A gorge that is spread across the course and that has to be played over several times is a special challenge. Due to the fact that the course naturally provides special difficulties and challenges, bunkers and water hazards were left out on this course. Guests are always welcome at the Golf Club Punta Ala. A handicap of at least 36 and a club card are required for the game on the challenging 18 hole golf course. On Saturdays and Sundays, a reservation is recommended.
