The Golf Country Club du Chaumont-en-Vexin is located in Chaumont-en-Vexin, a municipality in northwestern France which belongs to the department of Oise in the region of Picardie. Surrounded by oak and beech forests, it lies in the castle gardens of the Château de Bertichères, a building from the 15th/16th century, which served as the residence of Monsieur, the brother of Louis XIV. The vast park with its 100 year old trees allows a wonderful view of the castle. At the same time, parts of the golf course are situated on the high plateau in the forest of Vexin. The Golf Country Club du Chaumont-en-Vexin offers convenient transport links, including a good connection to Paris via the A15, which takes just 75 minutes. It was established in 1968 and provides an 18 hole par 72 course that was designed by the renowned golf course architect Donald Harradine. The 6152 meter long course is located on hilly terrain which the rivers La Troësne and Ru du Bras d’Or run through. Long fairways, numerous bunkers and trees, as well as considerable differences in altitude make the course very demanding and a challenge for experienced golfers. The lower part of the park is considered to be technical, while the upper part on the plateau also presents athletic challenges. Additional holes lie at a great height between park and plateau, making the experienced golfer’s heart beat faster.
