The Golf de Faulquemont-Pontpierre golf club is near to the eastern French communes of Falquemont and Pontpierre in the department of Moselle in the region of Lorraine. It takes up a large, open area of 80 hectares and allows for a good view of the surrounding landscape. The Golf de Faulquemont-Pontpierre has great transport links the capital city of the Lorrianese department of Metz and the capital city of the Saarland, Saarbrücken, from which the club can be reached in 40 to 45 minutes. The golf club was established in 1994 and in 1995, opened an 18 hole, par 72 course, designed by the golf course architect Jean Pascal Foures. The 5,985 meter long course is very hilly and features height differences of up to 40 elevation gain. The narrow fairways are lined with trees. But the main theme of the course is water. The Golf de Falquemont-Pontpierre has 3 large water hazards in the form of lakes and ponds. At the same time, 3 rivers flow through the terrain. Moreover, the club offers the 18 hole Le Faucon compact course, which is 1,358 meters long and a par 54. Notably, beginners to golf and more experienced players, if they want to go slowly, can play here. There is opportunity to practice on a driving range with 20 tees and a putting green. A highlight of the Golf de Faulquemont-Pontpierre is the Toya restaurant, which was awarded a Michelin star.
