Golf de la Sainte Baume

In southeastern France, near the town of Nans-les-Pins in the department of Var in the region of Provence- Alpes-Côte d’Azur, lies the golf club Golf de la Sainte Baume. It is embedded into pine groves, oak forests, and the typical Mediterranean garrigue vegetation at the foot of the mountain ranges of Sainte-Baume and Mont Aurélien. Golf de la Sainte Baume was set up around the facility of the Domaine de Châteauneuf from the 18th century, which lies between Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, and Brignoles. The club boasts good transport links to these cities, from which they can be reached in 30 to 45 minutes. The golf club Golf de la Sainte Baume was established in 1988 and calls the 18 hole course Golf de Sainte-Baume with par 72 its own. It was designed by the golf course architect Robert Berthet, who scattered the hilly course with long, narrow, fairways, partially elevated greens and tees, bunkers, and several water hazards. Holes 2 and 7 deserve a special mention, since golfers need to play across a lake for these. The golf course demands technical and tactical play from beginners and experienced golfers, but can be managed by players of all skill levels. Golf de la Sainte Baume offers a practice area with a driving range with 40 tees, 20 of which are covered, practice bunkers, several putting, and a pitching green. Golf de la Sainte Baume is an OPEN GOLF CLUB course.
