Golf de Marcilly

The Golf de Marcilly golf club is five minutes away from the town center of the Marcilly-en-Villette commune in the Centre-Val de Loire region in the department of Loiret in central France. It is situated on the grounds of the former Domaine de la Plaine farm in the thickly forested landscape of Sologne, located south of Orléans and had good transport links. The Golf de Marcilly can be quickly reached from Orléans via the Avenue Gaston Galloux and the D108. The most famous castle of Sologne, Château Chambord, is only 45 minutes away from the golf course. The golf club was founded in 1986 by the Patou brothers and is a 45 hole facility. The 18 hole, par 72 course at the Golf de Marcilly was designed by the golf course architect Olivier Brizon. With its length of 6,303 meters, it is an athletically challenging course but golfing beginners can also manage the broad fairways. With water hazards and numerous bunkers, the course also provides several challenges for experienced golfers. The Golf de Marcilly also has an 18 hole, par 55 pitch & putt course which is 2,579 meters long. Furthermore, golfers can also try footgolf on the 1,187 meter long, par 35, 9 hole Kaleka course. For practice, there is a driving range and a putting green.
