Golf de Montereau la Forteresse

The golf club Golf de Montereau la Forteresse lies near the northern French town of Toury-Férottes in the department of Seine-et-Marne in the region of Île-de-France. It comprises a 98 hectare area on the grounds of a former fortified manor from the 12th century, which belonged to the Knights Templar and nestles into the valley of the river Orvanne. Golf de Montereau la Forteresse is half an hour away from Fontainebleau via the D606 and 85 minutes from Paris via the A5. The golf club was established in 1987 and features an 18 hole parkland course with par 72, designed by the well-known golf course architecture team Patrick Fromanger and Mark Adam. The 5880 meter long course runs along a hilly, wooded terrain. Long, narrow fairways, numerous bunkers, several doglegs, ponds and other large water hazards give it its character. Holes 5 to 9 as well as holes 15 and 16 are located in a little forest.
