Golf du Domaine de Falgos

The golf club Golf du Domaine de Falgos lies near the municipality of Saint-Laurent-de-Cerdans, which is located in the department of Pyrénées-Orientales in the southern French region of Languedoc-Roussillon-Midi-Pyrénées at the border to Spain. It stretches over an area of 650 hectares of the 8000 square meter former Catalan manor Domaine de Falgos from the 18th century. Situated at a height of 1100 meters, the golf club Golf du Domaine de Falgos lies in the midst of the forests of the Roussillon at the foot of the Pyrenees and offers a breathtaking view of the Pic du Canigou, Catalonia’s highest mountain peak. From the next largest city of Perpignon, the club can be reached in 75 minutes via the D115. Founded in 1991, the club opened an 18 hole par 70 course in 1992, designed by Alain Delahaye. The 5177 meter long course has a very hilly terrain, but only shows an altitude change of 80 meters. Its fairways are partly narrow, the greens rather small. Natural water hazards such as lakes and ponds contribute to the technical challenges the golf course presents for both beginners and experienced golfers. In its practice area, Golf du Domaine de Falgos offers golfers a driving range with 15 tees, six of which are covered, a pitching and a putting green, as well as a practice bunker for training.
