Golf du Domaine de la Bretesche

The Golf du Domaine de la Bretsche golf club is near Missillac, a small commune in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the region Pays de la Loire, in the middle of the regional natural park of Brière. It stretches over an area of 234 hectares, which belongs to the palace grounds of the von Bretsche castle from the 15th century and is surrounded by centuries-old oak and birch forests. The Golf du Domaine de la Bretsche has beautiful views of the castle, which is found in a picturesque setting on a peninsula on a lake. The golf club has very good transport links to the neighboring villages and towns. From Missillac, it is only two minutes to the club via the D2. The Golf du Domaine de la Bretsche is 25 minutes away from Redon via the D114 and 35 minutes from Saint Nazaire by the N171, D773 and N165. Finally, the golf course is just 45 minutes away from Nantes via the N165. The golf club opened an 18 hole, par 72 course, which was designed by golf course legend Sir Henry Cotton, in 1967. The 6,015 meter course has broad fairways, is bordered by trees and has technical greens, doglegs, bunkers and water hazards which make the golf course a tactical and athletic challenge. It was named one of the most beautiful golf courses in France.
