Golf du Kempferhof

The golf club Golf du Kempferhof is located in the town of Plobsheim in the department of Bas-Rhin in the Alsace region. It stretches across an 85 hectare area of the former seat of nobility Kempferhof from the 18th century. Golf du Kempferhof lies in a large forest with old oak, beech, poplar, birch, and pine trees and is situated near the Rhein. From the Alsatian metropolis of Straßburg and the German gem of Ortenau, the club can be reached in half an hour via the A35 and the L98. The club was founded in 1990 and boasts an 18 hole woodland course with par 72, which was created by the American golf course architect Robert von Hagge. The hilly terrain with its narrow fairways, vast, elevated, wavy greens, very large bunkers, 13 water hazards, and hills at the edge of the fairways proves itself as tactically challenging for both beginners and experienced golfers. Golfers can train for this in the practice area of the club on a driving range with 36 tees, eleven of which are covered, and a putting, pitching, and chipping area with practice bunkers. Golf equipment and clothes are available at the club’s own Kempferhof Pro Shop. According to Guide 1000, Golf du Kempferhof belongs to the top 5 French golf courses and the top 15 of the 150 best courses in the world.
