Golf Girona

Among the numerous golf courses in the region around Girona, Golf Girona is characterized by the well-integrated course design. The course is roughly 10 kilometers south of the city Girona and can be quickly reached from the surrounding area via the A-2, only a few kilometers away. The course was designed by the famous golf course architect F.W. Hawthree and offers 18 holes with par 72. A special feature at the golf course is the challenging Penncross grass that creates an especially fine golf lawn at Golf Girona. Among the first 9 holes, the sixth fairway is the most challenging. At the eighth hole at Golf Girona, large pine trees serve as a challenge; tactical players clearly have the advantage here. The twelfth hole offers grandiose views of the tastefully designed course, however, several sand bunkers before the green demand concentration. The on-site golf academy at Golf Girona offers golf lessons for beginning and intermediate golfers at various levels; golf clubs and buggies can be rented. Between February and December, various tournaments take place at Golf Girona, such as “Amis del Golf.” In the club house, the kitchen offers gastronomic experiences, influenced by the club’s Mediterranean location that can be enjoyed while viewing the romantic hilly landscape.
