Golf Ouest Provence Miramas

The golf club Golf Ouest Provence Miramas is located in the Provencal town of Miramas, between Marseille and Aix-en-Provence, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. It is surrounded by small lakes, pine groves, and hills, and is picturesquely embedded into the southern French vegetation. Even though it is situated by the foothills of the Maritime Alps, Golf Ouest Provence Miramas has good transport links. It can be reached in 10 minutes from Miramas’ town center via the Chemin du Couvent. The trip from Aix-en-Provence to the golf club takes about 45 minutes via the A8, and less than an hour from Marseille via the A7. Golf Ouest Provence Miramas was opened in 1993 and boasts an 18 hole woodland course with par 71. Golf course architect Serge Giraud is responsible for its design. He developed the 5310 meter long hilly course with many water hazards, bunkers, and fairways that lead through pine forests. The greens are considered difficult, but the golf course is manageable for golfers of all levels. The practice area of Golf Ouest Provence Miramas offers a driving range with 28 tees, practice bunkers, a putting green, as well as a pitching area. The club’s own Pro Shop carries golf equipment from all the typical brands. Additionally, golfers can rent clubs, electric carts, and trolleys, or book a caddie if required.
