Golf Resort Franzensbad

The Golf Club Františkovy Lázně (Golf Resort Franzensbad in German) is located in the town of Hazlov near Františkovy Lázně in Western Bohemian Spa Triangle. It is located on 84 hectares in the nature reserve Soos along the Ohře river, near the German border. The Golf Resort Franzensbad can be reached from Františkovy Lázně in around fifteen minutes. From the nearby German cities of Selb and Bad Brambach, visitors can reach the golf resort in 15 to 20 minutes. Founded in 2003, the club has an 18-hole course, type woodland with par 72, designed by the well-known architects Peter Walker and Heinz Fehring. They created a 6,561-meter long course on hilly terrain, characterized by fast greens, bunkers, old trees, and biotopes. Highlights of the course include holes 4 and 10 which boast natural water hazards over 160 meters wide that golfers must tee across. Additionally, there are four tees per hole, doglegs, and sometimes very long, narrow fairways. The course at the Golf Resort Franzensbad boasts international standards and was awarded four stars (“superior”) by the German Association of Golf courses (Bundesverband Golfanlagen e.V.). The resort also has a 330-meter long driving range with a 350-square meter putting green, a chipping green, practice bunkers, and a 5-hole short course.
