Golfbaan Echt-Susteren

The Golfclub Golfbaan Echt-Susteren situated in the municipality of Echt-Susteren in the Dutch province of Limburg. It lies in an idyllic heath landscape on the Maas, near the Hommelheide estate and the EuroParcs resort Limburg, each just five kilometers from the Belgian and French border. Golfbaan Echt-Susteren provides good transport links to the larger neighboring cities of Maastricht and Roermont. The club can be reached in 25 minutes from Roermond via the A73 and the N276, while Maastricht is half an hour away via the A2. Established in 2006, the golf club Golfbaan Echt-Susteren houses a 9-hole heathland course with par 72, designed by the renowned golf course architect Dirk Stadler. The 2854-meter-long, flat course is played as an 18-hole course and is defined by wavy, undulating fairways, fast greens, sand bunkers, and many water hazards. It winds along shrubs, bushes, as well as several large trees and sets high demands for golfers in terms of tactics and strategy. A special feature of the course is hole 6, which is said to be the longest in the Netherlands with 540 meters. The A status championship course Golfbaan Echt-Susteren also boasts Holland’s longest fairway, measured from the standard tee. A 250-meter-long driving range and a 650 square meter large chipping green do their best to keep up with these records.
