Golfclub Dorhout Mees – Orange Course

The Golfclub Dorhout Mees is located in the village of Biddinghuizen, which belongs to the Dutch province of Flevoland. It stretches along the edge of the former Zuidersee, known as Veluwemeer today, between the regions of Randstad and Veluwe in a rough but idyllic polder landscape. Situated in eastern Flevoland, the Golfclub Dorhout Mees provides good transport links to larger cities in the area. It can comfortably be reached in 15 to 30 minutes from Harderwijk, Lelystad and Kampen via the N306. Established in 1995, the Golfclub Dorhout Mees now offers a 54-hole park comprised of four 9 hole courses with par 36 that can be combined to 18 hole courses with par 72, as well as two 9-hole par 3 courses. The courses White (2703 meters) and Blue (2877 meters) are links courses with many water hazards, bunkers, wind pressure, and long fairways. For this reason, the courses Red (2885 meters) and Orange (2570 meters) are designed as parkland courses with doglegs and wide fairways, meadows and pastures. All four courses have received A status by the NFG as championship courses. Both par 3 courses have fairways of 50 to 120 meters in length and are designed for practicing the short game. As one of the largest golf sport centers in the Netherlands, the Golfclub Dorhout Mees features two covered driving ranges, several putting greens, and a few practice bunkers.
