Golfclub Garmisch-Partenkirchen e.V. in Werdenfelser Land counts among the most traditional golf clubs in Germany, as it was founded in 1928. Since 1974, the club is based in Oberau on the properties of the Buchwies Manor. The 18 hole course with par 72 is embedded into the gorgeous landscape with views of the Zugspitze, Alpspitze and the Ester Mountains. The fairways are athletically challenging and interesting for all handicaps. Forrest, meadows, sand bunkers and water hazards characterize the relatively flat terrain, whose fairways form gentle waves. This is a place that fulfills even the highest expectations towards maintenance and conceptual design, especially fairway 14 featuring probably the toughest hole after a 90-degree dogleg and a very long green. Experienced golf coaches take care of beginning and advanced golfers on the large driving range. Putting, pitching, chipping and bunker shots can be practiced here. A Pro Shop offers the complete range of golfing equipment, which can also be rented on site. After the game, the club restaurant welcomes players to relax in a pleasant atmosphere. With its beautiful location in a unique vacation area, Golfclub Garmisch-Partenkirchen e.V. invites you to combine sports and cultural activities. Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Oberammergau and Linderhof Palace are within a few kilometers. The season at Golfclub Garmisch-Partenkirchen e.V. goes from April until November. The course can be reached within just 30 minutes by car from Munich.
