Golfclub Gröbernhof e.V.

The Golfclub Gröbernhof e.V. is located in Zell am Harmersbach, a town in the Ortenaukreis on the western border of the Black Forest. Situated idyllically in the Harmersbach valley, 1.5 kilometers southwest of the city center, the club offers a nice view of the mountains and valleys of the Black Forest, the Castle Hohengeroldseck on the Schönberg, the near Rhine valley and of the Alsace with the silhouettes of the city Strasbourg. As it is only 25 kilometers away from Offenburg and about 50 kilometers from Freiburg im Breisgau, the Golfclub Gröbernhof e.V. has a great traffic connection via the B33 and the B294. It was established in 1999 on the property of the former noble fiefdom Gröbernhof, which dates back to 1222. The clubhouse, Pro Shop and restaurant are accommodated in the former farm buildings of the estate. The 18 hole course with par 72 was designed by Brian Pierson and its hilly terrain, open streams, wetlands and ascending fairways make it a challenging course for golfers that can combine athletic technique with strategy. The public 6 hole short course with fairways of 45 to 60 meters in length requires less physical fitness and thus is more suitable for beginners. The Golfclub Gröbernhof e.V. owns a practice area including a driving range with 20 tees, three of which are covered, putting and pitching greens and a 5 hole short course.
