Golfclub Markkleebergam See e.V.

Golfclub Markkleeberg am See e.V. is located in the charming landscape of Leipzig‘s Neuseenland, right next to the Cospudener lake. Interestingly, it was founded on the site of a former opencast mine in 1993 – hard to imagine given its romantic lake scenery. The golf course itself is a 9-hole course, comfortable to play on, only slightly hilly and very suitable for beginners. Flat and dotted with water obstacles, it also has a few fairways that require a high degree of concentration from golfers. One of the special features at Golfclub Markkleeberg am See e.V. is the “Little Joe Course”, an illuminated, 6-hole pitching and putting green with water obstacles and bunkers. The golf club’s practice area consists of a driving range with 18 tee-off points, four of which are sheltered. It also has putting, pitching and chipping greens as well as a practice bunker. Golf classes are taught by the Scottish golf professional Steve Murphy, who grew up near the legendary golf Mecca, St. Andrews, and who also runs the club’s own pro shop. Golf enthusiasts can hire clubs and trolleys, as well as caddies on request, and spend a pleasant day on the greens at Golfclub Markkleeberg am See e.V.
