Golfclub Schaumburg e.V. was founded in 1980, and its grounds are located in Obernkirchen, not far from Bückeburg. It is considered one of the most beautiful courses in northern Germany. The 18-hole course enchants with an old stock of trees and wide panoramic views of the Weser and the Wiehen Hills, all the way to the North German lowlands. Until 1960, this area along the Bückeberg was known for coal mining; today golfers can enjoy it as a sophisticated parkour with a par of 71. The slightly hilly course is attractive for professionals and beginners alike, blending harmoniously into its natural surroundings. No two holes are alike here, with narrow trails giving way to wide fairways. Lines of sight open up time and again, allowing views of the Schaumburg Land. Water obstacles and tricky bunkers require a precise game. Training facilities include a practice bunker, a putting and pitching green, and a driving range. A friendly, welcoming atmosphere awaits golfers at Golfclub Schaumburg e.V. The golf academy offers numerous classes. Facilities also include a pro shop, electric carts or (electric) trolleys for hire and a clubhouse with a beautiful terrace. Golfclub Schaumburg e.V. organizes numerous tournaments throughout the year. Guests require a club ID with a registered handicap (54). VcG players are permitted.
